VIEW in the News - October 2020

Rhino walking in the brush

While in the field developing a wildlife health program in Nepal, VIEW recognized that rhinos were dying but NOT due to poaching. VIEW found the largest mortality event in rhinos in the world not attributed to poaching. This finding has now initiated a local and international effort to address these mortalities that may be due to health-related causes. It is particularly significant since tourism, especially rhino viewing, is the number one economic driver in Nepal which directly impacts the Nepali people and their livelihoods.
